Celebrating our Honorees

Because we were unable to host this event in 2020, we honored two “classes” of award winners to recognize their efforts over the last two years. We bestowed eleven awards this year.

Shining Star awards are given each year to volunteers, community partners, or businesses that are shining examples of commitment, dedication and support of the Bay Area Women’s Center. They stand out from the crowd in their efforts to fulfill our mission to end domestic and sexual violence.

The Alice & Jack Wirt Spirit of Giving Award is the highest honor we can offer. This award is presented to an individual or entity that embodies the spirit of Alice and Jack Wirt. Awardees engage regularly with, give generously to, and raise awareness for BAWC. They make a significant difference and are true philanthropists like Alice and Jack.
